KarimHuu Do

Paris

Karim Huu Do is a filmmaker born from a Moroccan mother and a Vietnamese father, he was raised in a city by the Leman Lake in the French part of Switzerland. This mix of cultures has shaped Karim's mindset to always seek outside the boundaries.

Karim studied science because his father, a chemist, wanted him to be a doctor but at the same time his artistic sensitivity was growing with books and movies. So after graduating from school, he chose Art. More precisely he chose his first passion since he was a kid: Cinema.

He reunited with a few friends from Art University while he was working in a small production company. Together they formed a collective called "Fortune" and made their first steps merging their respective fields, and collaborated in fashion, photography, music videos and magazine projects. It was then that Karim developed his approach combining a powerful emotional dimension with undeniably strong imagery. His talent was immediately recognized in music videos, fashion films and commercials where he won a bronze EDI and a gold Epica.

In July 2013, he signed with Caviar where his career has been taken to a new level. His recent projects include a fashion film for the upcoming Parisian brand "Roman Noir"; a short film for the music collective "Last Night In Paris" in London; he has collaborated with Nowness on a documentary, and has just completed a campaign for adidas. Earlier this month Karim’s second global campaign for adidas made it’s international release, this project featuring Pharrell, Rita Ora, David Beckham, and Damian Lillard.

Karim was recently featured in Dazed Magazine as one of the top new creatives in the world.
