Keith Schofield

Keith Schofield

Keith started directing video projects while he was still in high school in Chicago. He knew early on he was going to be a director.

He grew up with deck-to-deck editing controllers, which he tells people is sort of like “scratching or spinning records”. Keith was a one-man production company all throughout his teens, taking out his camera as often as possible, editing and creating his own vfx on his computer.

Over the past four years Keith settled nicely into the commercial world with Caviar. His work is a visual kaleidoscope. He bends his on camera effects as far as he can, resulting in an understated comedic edge combined with unusual visual effects.

Schofield received the "Best Rock Video" award at the 2008 UK Music Video Awards for his direction of Supergrass's "Bad Blood" video. In the viral realm, Schofield directed the now iconic “S.F.W,” for Diesel’s 17-city 30th anniversary bash. Schofield's works have been described by Anthem Magazine as "sensations that regale viewers with a joyous vitality" and by Wired as incorporating "visual gags worthy of Chuck Jones." Keith won a 2010 UK Music Video Award for Best Indie/Alternative Video for the music video he created for “Heaven Can Wait” by Charlotte Gainsbourg featuring Beck.

Most recently, Keith directed a 2012 Super Bowl teaser for Volkswagen called “The Bark Side,” which featured 12 dogs barking the Star Wars anthem. The spot went viral and garnered over 10 million views in 10 days on Youtube and has earned him an Emmy Nomination. Keith has collaborated with Funny or Die in making a spoof of the popular TV show Glee, “Ain’t Nuthin But a Glee Thang,” and he’s also worked alongside Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher to create a PSA campaign against human trafficking. He has also shot campaigns for KSWISS, Nintendo, Bic, and Sony.
